| Primary CAME is a two-year
professional development programme which will equip
you to rethink mathematics teaching in your school or
LEA.
Primary CAME focuses on how children tackle problems
and the skills they develop in doing so. It promotes
children’s understanding of underlying mathematical
ideas. The lessons supplement children’s normal
mathematical experiences, building on existing skills
and developing their mathematical thinking.
You can start a cluster with BEAM’s help, using
BEAM tutors. The practicalities of the programme can
be tailored to meet local needs. The BEAM professional
development team will work with you to organise the
programme.
