A course for Key Stage 1 and 2 teachers
and mathematics and ICT subject leaders
We must make effective use of the opportunities electronic
boards provide for stimulating and engaging activities
in the classroom. Creative uses of
peripherals can enhance the learning of mathematics and
offer children
enjoyable mathematical experiences. The focus will be
on pedagogy
rather than technical skills and activities will be suitable
for all types
of electronic boards.
On this course you will:
- explore creative uses of
electronic boards to support children’s
learning of measures and data handling
- consider
ways of using video cameras and digital dictaphones
to promote mathematical learning
- investigate how
the electronic board videoing tool can contribute
to promoting maths talk
- look at the creative use
of the electronic board for mathematical
problem-solving activities
