Finding what you need
There are three ways to find what you are looking for.
- Use our search facility
If you know what you are looking for, click on the ‘Advanced search’ in the search bar towards the top left of any page on this site and you will be able to type in specific details to narrow down your search and find exactly what you need.
If you want to see a range of products that match certain criteria (e.g. problem solving), type the key phrase into the search bar and you will be given a list of all of our products, Professional Development and free resources that match this criteria.
- Browse by age range
In the left-hand menu, you can click on the age range you are interested in and it will search for all of our resources available for that group. You will also see a submenu of maths categories underneath the age range selected (e.g. number, calculation). Click on the specific topic that you are looking for and it will narrow down the search to give you a choice of all of our resources for a particular age range and maths topic.
- Browse by category?
Click on one of the popular categories below (e.g. equipment) and it will show all of the products we have classified under that category.

Buying a BEAM product
When you find something you like, click on ‘Buy' to add the product to your shopping basket. Change the number in the quantity box if you would like to buy more than one. Some pages may show more than one product, so you need to click on the relevant ‘Buy' icon for each product you would like to add to your order.
If you change your mind and want to remove a product from your order, you can do this from the checkout area. If you are logged in to your account, you will see everything that is currently in your shopping basket. You can remove any item by clicking on the ‘x' icon beside it. Your shopping basket will then be recalculated accordingly. If you wish to change the quantity of any of the items, overtype the number in the ‘Quantity’ field and click ‘Recalculate’.
If you are ordering on behalf of a recognised educational institution in the UK (such as a school, early years setting, local education authority, college or university), we will invoice you for the goods you order instead of asking for your credit card details.
If you are a personal, international or trade customer, you can pay for orders by credit or debit card. We accept Visa, Maestro, Solo, American Express or Mastercard.
When you are ready to pay for your order, click on ‘Checkout’. You will see a full summary of your order, which you can either amend by clicking ‘Back’ to edit the items in your order or ‘Edit address’ to change the invoice address or delivery details. Once you are fully satisfied with your order, click ‘Pay Now’ and your order will either be placed immediately (UK educational institutions customers) or you will be taken to the payment screen, where you will be asked to enter credit card details (personal, international or trade customers).

Data integrity and security
We endeavour to ensure the highest level of security with regard to your credit card details and financial information during your use of this website by using BIBIT, which encrypts information you have inputted. We do not store credit card details. Please note that internet transmissions are never completely private or secure. You accept that any information or message you send to the website may be intercepted or read by others.
You hereby acknowledge and accept that we have no responsibility and shall accept no liability whatsoever for loss, injury or damage occasioned by the interception by third parties of your transmissions, or the disclosure of information including but not limited to credit card numbers by any party with whom you transact, nor do we offer any guarantees, warranties or indemnities as to the security or otherwise of any information which you give us.

Personal data
We strive to maintain the reliability, accuracy, completeness and currency of personal data in our databases and to protect the privacy and security of our databases. We keep your Personal Data or Child’s Personal Data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. The data are then destroyed.
Our servers and our databases are protected by industry standard security technology such as network address translation and password protection. Although we cannot guarantee against any loss, misuse, unauthorised disclosure, alteration or destruction of data, we try to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.

Delivery times and charges?
There is a set delivery charge (currently £2.95) for UK orders. We aim to deliver orders to the UK within 7 to 10 working days. If you need to receive your goods urgently, please call the BEAM orderline on +44 (0)1242 267 945 to place your order by telephone.
The set delivery charge for non-UK customers within the EU (including the Channel Islands) is £8.95. For customers outside the EU, there is a standard charge of £12.95 for any parcel less than 2 kg in weight. If the weight of your order exceeds this, we will obtain a separate postage quote and contact you to confirm the charge before processing the order.
Delivery times to international destinations vary. European orders should be delivered within 14 days. Please allow slightly longer for delivery to other destinations. If you are concerned about your order, please email us.

VAT
Some BEAM materials are subject to Value Added Tax. This is indicated next to the listed price of a product, and the amount of VAT will be shown separately in your shopping basket. Customers in the Channel Islands and the rest of the world are not charged VAT.
Please note that you may be subject to import duties and taxes when ordering goods for delivery overseas. Customs policies vary from country to country, and we cannot predict what the charges may be. Therefore, any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the customer.

If you are unsure about the status of your order, would like to amend it or have any queries, please contact us as soon as possible by emailing us or telephoning us on +44 (0)1242 267 945.

Customer satisfaction
We make every effort to deliver your goods on time and in perfect condition. If they do not reach you or are damaged in transit, please telephone +44 (0)1242 267 945. If they are damaged, we will arrange for replacements to be sent to you.

Ordering offline

Additionally, look out for the BEAM stand at educational exhibitions and conferences throughout the country, including BETT, the Education Show and the Capital Education Exhibition in London.
