- To experience a number of activities which support the above
By the end of the course, delegates will be familiar with:
- Working with gnomes – with gnomes as a starting point we will consider activities which lead to mathematical reasoning
- Clued up – collaborative problem solving activities with cross-curricular links
- Shaping up – thinking activities based on colour, shape and size
- A world of flags – using flags as a starting point for mathematical activities
- Questions to encourage mathematical thinking
- Completing the square – matrix activities to support logical thinking
- Little bears as a starting point for sorting activities with a difference
- Sudoku beginning in the foundation stage
