It is important to understand exactly what is meant by ‘creativity’ in
mathematics, particularly in relation to using and applying
mathematics.
This understanding will influence the strategies and
activities used to help
children develop and express their creativity in mathematics.
On this course you will:
- explore creative approaches
to using and applying mathematics
- look at ways to
develop mathematical reasoning
- consider the role
of the calculator in working creatively
- explore
speaking and listening strategies
- identify inclusive
strategies that are challenging and motivating
