and mathematics subject leaders
It is important to involve children of all abilities
in mathematics lessons. Sometimes, it can be challenging
to engage in mathematical learning
with a wide range of abilities in the classroom. Appropriate
strategies
and resources will promote children’s enjoyment
and engagement in mathematics.
On this course you will:

using equipment to support children’s
mathematical thinking
- look at the role of appropriate
questioning
- explore a range of strategies to engage
children of all abilities
- look at how to include
all children in problem-solving activities

at the effective use of groupings and of other adults
