basis of all mathematical
concepts and are a fundamental part of children’s
mathematical
understanding. Working creatively with the Big Ideas
is integral in
developing children’s mathematical learning.
On this course you will:
- consider the nature of Big
Ideas in mathematics at Key Stage 2
- consider how to integrate problem-solving approaches
into every
mathematics lesson
- explore the creative use of equipment
- look at
differentiation in the context of Big Ideas
