Supporting your low-attaining children in mathematics at Key Stage 1

A course for Key Stage 1 teachers, mathematics subject leaders and Teaching Assistants

Some children find it difficult to grasp mathematical concepts and make connections between different aspects of their learning. These children need to be supported effectively to encourage and nurture their mathematical development.

On this course you will:

  • discuss children’s learning needs
  • identify inclusive mathematics activities
  • learn how to recognise children’s misconceptions
  • look at a range of models and images that support children’s learning
  • consider the most effective use of adult contact time

Leeds: Tues 27 Nov 2007 (LEE5)
