books, games and equipment
are well designed, accessible and educationally sound.
Our writers are mathematics education professionals:
teachers, advisers, consultants and academics. They
all have many years of classroom experience. Our team

We trial our materials
widely in schools all over the UK. Teachers try out
lessons, games and activities in the classroom, and
let us know what works and what doesn’t. That’s

Training
We run regular courses
in London and in Leeds. These are one-day courses, each
presenting an aspect of mathematics teaching to help
you develop a rich, stimulating learning environment.
We provide training
sessions in schools, LEAs, universities and elsewhere,
both in the UK and overseas. Our consultants
plan and deliver in-service training to meet your particular
needs and priorities.
We manage a two-year programme to help teachers develop
children’s mathematical thinking: Primary
CAME. As a school, you can join a BEAM Primary CAME
group, and as an LEA you can work with us to set up
your own group.
